Workrate doesn't collect, transmit, or share any of your data. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no servers — everything you enter stays on your phone.
Workrate is a workout timer for station-based and circuit training. It runs entirely on your device: there is no companion server, no account system, and no internet connection required to use it.
None. Workrate does not collect any personal information, usage data, or device identifiers. It contains no analytics software development kits, no crash-reporting services, no advertising networks, and no third-party trackers of any kind.
There is nothing to opt out of, because nothing is ever gathered in the first place.
The workouts you build and the sessions you run — including timings, weights, and any notes you add — are saved in your phone's local app storage, the same way a notes app keeps drafts on-device.
Workrate can connect to a Bluetooth heart-rate strap so it can show your heart rate during a session and against each station afterwards. This is entirely optional — the app works exactly the same without one, and it will never ask you to pair anything to use the rest of it.
Heart rate is health data, and it is treated the same as everything else here: readings are stored only on your device, they are never uploaded, and nobody but you can see them. They are saved as part of the session they belong to, so deleting that session deletes them with it.
Bluetooth permission is used solely to find and connect to your strap. Workrate does not use Bluetooth to determine your location, to identify you, or to detect anything else around you.
Workrate may request local network access. This exists solely to support development and build tooling while the app is being worked on — it is not used to send or receive any information about you or your workouts, and has no role in the app's normal day-to-day use.
Workrate shares nothing with anyone, because it has nothing to share and no connection to share it over. There are no advertising partners, no data brokers, and no analytics vendors involved in the app.
Workrate is not directed at children and is not knowingly used to collect information from anyone, of any age — the app has no data collection mechanism to begin with.
Because everything lives only on your device, you're always in full control of it. Delete a workout or a session from within Workrate at any time, or remove all of it at once by deleting the app — nothing remains anywhere else.
If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version of Workrate adds a feature that involves the network — this page will be updated and the effective date above will change accordingly.
